Become a Certified Mental Performance Consultant!

The Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) is the world’s largest sport psychology organization focused on human performance, holistic well-being, and social functioning.  AASP is an international, multidisciplinary, professional organization with over 2,500 members in 55 countries worldwide.  To earn Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) status through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) a mentoring experience is required.  Earning CMPC status helps the public understand the qualifications they should look for when selecting a consultant. The AASP certification program is nationally accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) and is a prerequisite to work with U.S. Olympic athletes and teams. Waksman has been offering mentoring services since 2012 with a special interest in student-athletics and building a private practice.

Mentoring conversations often explore ethics, business development, networking, positive coaching, and other topics.
